CourseMonkey FAQ
Is CourseMonkey officially affiliated with my university?
No. CourseMonkey is a student-made project and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any university or college.
Where do the grade distributions and stats come from?
CourseMonkey combines published data with responses contributed by students. If something looks wrong, use the Report an issue form.
How are averages and medians calculated?
Averages and medians use the combined data available for the selected course, professor, or term. “Not enough data” means there are not enough responses for a stable estimate.
What are cards, and how do I answer them?
Cards are quick votes about courses, professors, clubs, places, or anything else. Drag left or right to answer, or tap an answer directly. You will see the result right away.
Do you save my answers?
Yes. We save responses to build results and trends. Other people only see them as totals, never as your individual answers.
What are streaks?
A streak counts consecutive days when you answer at least one card. Milestones unlock cosmetics.
How do sharing and friend invites work?
Every card and result has a link. A shared card opens in an inspector and can be answered in Explore. Friend invite links connect both accounts when accepted.
Who can see my activity and profile?
You control your visibility in Settings. You can also block users and report abuse.
What happens to pages and cards I add?
Pages and cards may be shown to other students. Cards posted inside a circle stay in that circle. Moderators may edit or remove content that breaks the rules or belongs on another page.
How do I delete my account or data?
In Settings, open Danger zone. Deactivation is reversible. Deletion is permanent and removes your personal details.
Is CourseMonkey only for one university?
CourseMonkey supports multiple schools. Available courses, professors, clubs, places, and cards depend on what students have added. If your school is missing, send feedback.
